Selah account deletion

From the app

1. Open Selah and go to Settings.
2. Tap your profile, at the top of the settings (your email address is shown there).
3. Tap “Supprimer mon compte” (Delete my account; this button is currently labeled in French).
4. Type SUPPRIMER to confirm.

The account is deleted as soon as you confirm. This cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app, on the other hand, does not delete your account.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app or can no longer sign in, write to marfodigitalagency@gmail.com from the email address of your Selah account, with the subject “Suppression de compte Selah”.

We handle each request within 30 days at most. To make sure no one else deletes your account, we may ask you to confirm the request from the account's email address.

Data that is deleted

• Your account and its email address
• Your profile
• Your preferences (language and Bible version)
• The times of your questions, used to apply the free question limit
• On your phone, when you delete the account from the app: the “My questions” history and the chapters and audio kept offline

Your questions themselves are not stored with your account on our servers. If the deletion is done by email, we have no access to your phone: the “My questions” history and the offline content stay there until you uninstall the app or clear them.

Data that is kept

• Answer reports, if you sent any: already separated from your account (a non-reversible account fingerprint, never your email or your identifier), they are kept 90 days, then deleted
• Server technical logs (pseudonymized account identifier and truncated IP address): kept by our host for a short period (on the order of a few days)
• A question and its answer may stay up to 24 hours in an anonymous server cache, which contains no user identifier
